A vulcanizable rubber blend is obtained by combining the aqueous latices of (a) a butadiene homopolymer rubber produced by an emulsion polymerization process and of (b) a cold rubber. The cold rubber may be an emulsion copolymer of butadiene and styrene or of butadiene and acrylonitrile produced at below 20 DEG C. The mixture may be stabilized, e.g. with phenyl-betanaphthylamine and coagulated with an aqueous solution of common salt and sulphuric acid. They may be mixed with the usual compounding ingredients and vulcanized.
