PURPOSE:To obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with a large charge/discharge capacity and a good cycle characteristic. CONSTITUTION:In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a negative electrode using lithium as an active material and a positive electrode using manganese dioxide as an active material, the moisture of 100% or below of the vacancy volume of mixed powder is added to the mixed powder of manganese dioxide powder and lithium salt powder, it is stored at 100 deg.C or below in the sealed atmosphere, then it is heat-treated at 200-450 deg.C for use as the manganese dioxide. |
