<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a fixing film by providing a movable type film protecting member for protecting the fixing film. CONSTITUTION:By pushing a pressuring release button 8, a pressuring release lever 12 is moved and a film protecting member holding pin 7 is disengaged from a film protecting member stopper leaf spring 16 and pulled by a film protecting member tension spring 15. The film protecting member 6 rotates along the fixing film 5 around the center of rotation 19 and covers the film 5 from a nip part to a paper ejecting side. A paper ejecting door 10 has such structure that it is not opened when the button 8 is not pushed, and the member 6 covers the film 5 when the door 10 is opened by pulling a paper ejecting door knob 9. When the door 10 is opened, a power source is turned off.</p> |
