<p>A body (5) is sealably fitted to the opening of a cavity (13) to be cleaned. A water hose (7, 8, 10, 11) is arranged in said body and its inlet (7) is linked to the outlet (4) of a single-acting sound-frequency pump (1) producing alternate phases of drawing a cleaning liquid out of a supply container and compressing it towards the body (5). The outlet (8) of the water hose is connected to a liquid discharge tube (6). The hose's suction tube (11) extends into said cavity (13), where it periodically generates partial vacuums and causes vapour bubbles to be formed. The length of the discharge tube (6) is such that, in operation, a certain mass of liquid flows back thereinto during the suction stroke of each cycle of the pump (1), thereby causing bubble implosion and cavitation in said cavity (13). This apparatus is simple, highly effective and energy and cost efficient.</p> |
