POLYVINYL CHLORIDE PLASTISOL COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. having a low viscosity and excellent thermal stability and aging stability of viscosity and being useful in slush molding, etc., by compounding a specific polyvinyl chloride resin and a plasticizer for a vinyl choride resin as essential components. CONSTITUTION:Vinyl chloride is polymerized in microsuspension in the presence of a polymethyl methacrylate resin sol. in vinyl chloride (e.g. polymethyl methacrylate) to give polyvinyl chloride resin particles wherein the polymethyl methacrylate resin exists mainly at the surfaces of the particles. The particles and a plasticizer usually used for a polyvinyl chloride resin (e.g. di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate) are compounded as essential components.
