The bird feeding box, with a food container enclosed by side walls, fllor and roof, has the food opening (8) on the side-wall arrangement (3). A perch (9) is installed beneath the food opening, able to tilt about a horizontal axis (10) running transversely to its longitudinal axis. A stop is arranged limiting the tilting movement upwards in the direction of the food opening (8), and a return device is provided by which the perch (9) is pre-tensioned against the stop (12), so that only small birds can feed. USE/ADVANTAGE - The feeding house feeds tits and other birds of the same size or smaller.
