The flow of milk from the mammary gland, after a woman has given birth to a baby, is stimulated by means of a rubber sleeve. The sleeve is placed over the woman's breast and connected to an air supply. The sleeve does not cover the nipple which is connected to a milk pump. The operation of the pump is synchronised with the air supply so that more air is supplied when the pressure inside the sleeve falls below that of the atmosphere. USE/ADVANTAGE - Appts. to stimulate the flow of milk which otherwise would not be available to feed the baby.
