NON-LINEAR DISTORTION COMPENSATOR

PURPOSE:To present the non-linear distortion compensator to compensate non- linear distortion at the amplifier of an intermediate repeater station and the reception terminal station of a reception side without controlling a circuit for executing distortion compensation. CONSTITUTION:This compensator is composed of a received signal point detecting means 11, signal point converting means 12, signal point detecting means 13 and distortion correcting function means 14. These means calculate a signal point distance and a phase and output the calculated result. Further, the distortion correcting function means 14 calculates the optimum value of an amount to correct the signal point distance and the phase as a function to the received signal point distance. The demodulated signal point converting means 12 outputs a control signal based on the function to the received signal point distance and corrects distortion according to the value of this control signal.
