Flux for solder wire with one or more flux cores comprises a mixt. of adipic acid (20-26 wt.%); suberic acid (11-15 wt.%); di-(2-ethyl hexyl) sebacate (3-7 wt.%); stannic stearate and/or adipate (0.5-1.5 wt.%); and natural and/or synthetic resins (to make 100 wt.%), pref. colophonium resin. The flux core content in the solder is 0.2-1.0 wt.%.
