<p>An agarose electrophoretic gel, a method for forming the gel, and a solid intermediate gamma-irradiated clarified galactomannan (ηCGM) for use in the gel. The gel is formed by the addition of ηCGM to optically clarify the gel for use in electrophoretic fractionation and resolution of oligonucleotides differing in molecular weight. The gel includes agarose, an electrophoretic buffer for nucleic acids, and a CGM vegetable gum subjected to between 0.1 and 4.0 megarads of ionizing gamma radiation.</p> |
