<p>A connector (10) for connecting non-metallic sheathed cable (13) to an electrical box (25), with such connector including a substantially tubular body (15) defining an axially extending passageway (16) for receiving the cables. The connector includes a first end (20) for insertion into an opening (23) in the box, with the first end having an outwardly extending abutment rib (21). The first end (20) further includes releasable locking devices (27) each having an actuator tab (36) to provide for release of the first end (20) from the opening. A second end (40) of the connector includes adjustable clamping members (41) which are adapted to clamp the cable (13) within the connector (10). The adjustable clamping members may be provided as wedge-shaped levers (42) which selectively extend into the connector to bind the cable as a result of rotation of a locking collar (60) threadedly telescoped over the second end (40) of the connector.</p> |
