A vacuum suction bottle, for receiving or dispensing liquids during surgical treatment, is equipped with a distributor head (22). The distributor head has a through bore (24) and its lower end forms a pressure-tight seal with an opening in the bottle. The upper end of the distributor head has an external screw thread (46) which can receive, either a sealing cap (48), or the end (56) of a suction pipe (58). A side connection (38), which is designed to receive a bacteria filter is provided with a sealing cap (44). USE/ADVANTAGE - Bottle to receive fluid drained from wounds. The bottle is sealed to prevent the escape or ingress of bacteria.
