The implement (1) has a container (2) to take the feed block. It has one open side (21) above, and the comminuting and discharging device (3) arranged above it. The container (2) and the comminuting and discharging device (3) can be tilted by 180 deg. about a horizontal axis (40) into a discharging position in which the open side (21) of the container (2) is downward with the comminuting and discharing device below it, so that the feed block in the container (2) is fed down from above by gravity to the comminuting and discharging device (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - The unit is compact and provides for simple picking up and transporting of a feed block and appropriately comminuting it and discharging the feed.
