PURPOSE:To reduce the height of a turn bar tower and make web passage easy by providing a standard turn bar tower which introduces a web in any selected page and a special turn bar tower which introduces webs in any different pages. CONSTITUTION:A multi-color print web (a) equal to the four-page width of a folded book is loaded on the fifth stage turn bar device 30a of a standard turn bar tower 21. Web b, c, d, e equal to the four-page width of a folded book are loaded on the fourth, third, second and first-stage turn bar devices 30b, 30c, 30d and 30e from each perfect ink printing unit with an auxiliary printing device 2. The web is slitted to the two-page width using a slitter 10 of an entrance drag roller 9 on each turn bar device 30, then the slitted web passes through a straight passage 11 and is collected on the drag roller 9 located at the entrance of a triangle plate 18 on a folding machine 8. Further, the collected webs are stacked in sequential order of webs a, b, c, d and e from the top, then these webs are cut to the specified size inside the folding machine and are folded into a 20-page folded book. |
