<p>A water barrier for preventing the leakage of water down a wall (8) past the adjoining edge (3) of a bath or shower tray comprises a first component having a first vertical portion (21) which is adapted to be fitted to a wall (8) and a second portion (22) which extends downwardly at an inclined angle to the wall. A second component of the water barrier comprises a first portion (6) which is adapted to be secured to an edge region (3) of a bath or shower tray and a second upright portion (7) extending upwardly from the bath or shower tray edge region (3). The inclined portion (22) extends over the second component to conceal it from view. Since the first component is secured only to the wall and the second component is secured only to the edge region of the bath or shower tray, relative flexing between the wall and bath or shower tray will not affect the effectiveness of the water barrier. An L-sectioned extension (23) may be provided on the strip portion (21) to support a row of tiles (14). <IMAGE></p> |
