The following relation exists between the timing constant T and the order n Thus, value pairs T,n are formed for the values of the ordinal number n which are useful in practice, with which value pairs sudden responses xM are calculated. The optimum value pair is the one at which the smallest deviation between calculated and measured sudden response is obtained. The invention is used in starting devices for controllers and in adaptive controllers.
