PURPOSE: To obtain a photopolymer plate high in homogeneity and thickness uniformity by weighing a thermoplastic elastometric polymer, an ethylenically unsaturated compd. and a photo-reaction initiator to supply them to an extruder and feeding the extrudate by a two-roll calender through a weighing pump and a sheet die without forming rotary beads. CONSTITUTION: An ethylenically unsaturated compd. is a radically polymerizable ethylenically mono- or poly-unsaturated compd. with a b.p. of 100 deg.C or higher, for example, an acrylic or methacrylic ester. As a photo-reaction initiator, a known acyloin and a deriv. thereof are used. An extruder is pref. a self- cleaning type twin-screw extruder and a weighing supply pump and a sheet die are successively connected to the terminal thereof and the extruded melt from the extruder is supplied to a two-roll calender while the number of rotations of the weighing supply pump and rolls are controlled to prevent the formation of rotary beads. A photopolymerizable mixture may be weighed to be supplied to the extruder. |
