PURPOSE:To permit a VM (virtual computer) system of double level constitution to make effectively VM assist to even a low-priority VM by substituting the contents of an actual control register with those of a virtual control register to control the system. CONSTITUTION:A control register CR1 and the virtual control register VCR1 hold pointers to shadow tables 17 and 20 which convert the virtual storage area of a VM to the actual storage area of an actual computer. When the contents of the VCR6 are loaded in the register CR6 while an area V=R is in a problem state, a control table MICBLOK is also altered at the same time and the MICBLOK19 of a control program CP1 is pointed. At the same time, the shadow table is also switched from 17 to 20, and when the contents of the VCR6 are loaded in the CR6, the CR1 loads the contents of the VCR1. Thus, the VM assist to even the low-priority VM is made effectively. |
