Protective device for preventing acts of pyromania using letterboxes in doors. Its purpose is firstly to prevent burning objects from reaching interior rooms of the premises and secondly, through an inadequate supply of oxygen, to prevent fire from developing in the device itself. This is constituted by a receptacle 1:2 in rigid, fireproof material, provided on the rear side at the top with an opening which encloses the inner hatch 1:3 of a letterbox and on the front side at the bottom with a hatch 1:4 which can only be opened from the outside, likewise in fireproof material. At the top there is a suspension and/or screw-tightening device 1:7, on the rear side a spacer leg 1:6 or other construction which minimizes the contact area against the support surface. <IMAGE> |
