PURPOSE:To obtain a granulated material absorbing a large amount of aqueous liquid, having a high expanding ratio, maintaining granulated structure during liquid absorption and having stability to liquid. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. water absorbing resin powder is blended with 0.01-30 pts.wt. crosslinking agent, 0-50 pts.wt. water and 0-60 pts.wt. hydrophilic solvent in a high-speed stirring type mixer 1 having an inner tube 5 with >60 deg. contact angle to water and >=70 deg.C heat deformation temperature in the inner face under a stirring condition of the tip part of agitating blades 3 at >=600m/min revolving speed, the blend is provided with total mechanical energy F satisfying the following numerical formula 1 to give a granulated material having safety to liquid. 0<=F<=36,000 joule/kg (numerical formula 1). |
