<p>The graduated element includes a rigid substrate (1) with a background surface (2) with low light absorption on which there are raised graphic markings, such as micrometric graduations (6), which contrast with the background surface (2). The graphic markings (6) are produced by the deposition of a micrometric layer of a material with high light absorption. The background surface (2) is preferably constituted by a layer of a reflective metal, such as aluminium. The reflective layer (2) is also preferably covered by a transparent, micrometric coating such as silicon dioxide. Again preferably, the graphic markings (6) are constituted by chromium or a chromium-based composition. In the method according to the invention, the graphic markings (6) are produced photochemically. The various layers (2, 3, 6) are preferably applied to the substrate (1) in succession by vacuum evaporation. <IMAGE></p> |
