<p>PURPOSE:To provide a humidity-sensitive element which has a linear electric resistance value, a rapid humidity-sensitive response speed, and excellent reproducibility of humidity-sensitive characteristics and durability by forming a humidity-sensitive film by using a composition consisting of a polymer containing a sulfonic acid group or a sulfonic acid base and a hydroxyl group at a side chain and an alkoxysilane compound. CONSTITUTION:A humidity-sensitive element 1 consists of an insulating base having a pair of electrodes and a humidity-sensitive film formed on a base in a manner to cover at least a pair of the electrodes. The humidity-sensitive film is formed of a composition consisting of a polymer containing a sulfonic acid group or a sulfonic acid base and a hydroxyl group at a side chain and an alcoxylsilane compound having an epoxy group. The polymer containing the sulfonic acid group or the sulfonic acid base at the side chain is manufactured by a copolymer of a sulfonic acid (base) group-contained monomer and a hydroxyl group-contained monomer. Though a using mount of an epoxy group- contained alkoxysilane compound is not strictly limited, the using amount is generally within a range of 2-8g based on 10g polymer.</p> |
