<p>PURPOSE:To judge a rupture area automatically by performing the non-contact detection of a rupture position in the tension test of a metallic material. CONSTITUTION:At the time of loading tension by an upper and a lower chucks in the state of extensometers 4 being fitted to the gage marks P, Q of a test piece 1, a pair of light projecting-receiving devices 14, 15, disposed opposedly with the test piece 1 placed in between, detect a rupture position and also measure the distance between the gage marks P, Q at the time of the rupture being generated. On the basis of this measured distance together with the extension quantity signal measured by the extensometers 4, 5, the rupture position is automatically judged under which of A, B, C rupture specified in JIS Z 2241 to fall.</p> |
