PURPOSE:To collect the 1st toner mixing with the 2nd developer easily by determining the order of electrostatic charging trains of the 1st and the 2nd developers. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and the 2nd developing devices 14 and 15 which employ magnetic brush developing devices use a two-component developer. In this case, such charging trains of the respective developers that T1<C<T2 (where T1 and T2 are the 1st and the 2nd toner particles and C is the 1st and the 2nd carriers) are used. The 1st electrostatic latent image charged positively is developed with the 1st toner charged negatively and guided into the 2nd developing chamber 15, and when the 2nd electrostatic image charged negatively on a photosensitive body 1 is developed with the 2nd toner, a magnetic brush contacts the 1st toner, which mixes with the 2nd developer. At this time, the 1st toner is held in negative by the charging train, so the toner is collected while sticking to a bias roll easily. |
