PURPOSE:To offer a Ti alloy maintaining strength equal to that of the conventional beta type Ti allay, improved in cold workability and ductility and excellent in cold forgeability. CONSTITUTION:This Ti allay contains, by weight, 0.5 to 18% Mo and/or Nb, 13 to 19% V, 0.5 to 6% Al, 0.5 to 6% Sn and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. The offer of the Ti allay having deformation resistance lower than that of the existing beta type Ti alloy and executable of upset forging to 80% is permitted.
