<p>The invention provides for electronic price display apparatus comprising a plurality of price display units (64,76,82) for mounting in a retail establishment at respective locations each having a discrete address, and central processing means (52) arranged for selectively accessing each address and controlling each of said display units (64,76,82), characterized by inductive loop data transmission means having a transmission loop (58) driven by audio amplifying means (56), for transmitting data for accessing and controlling said display units, said inductive loop data transmission means being coupled to said central processing means (52) by way of signal modulator means (54), and further characterized by inductive loop receiving means (66) associated with said display units (64,76,82) for receiving data transmitted from said transmission loop (58) and for supplying data for said display units (64,76,82) by way of demodulator means. <IMAGE></p> |
