PURPOSE:To obtain a coil conductor having an arbitrary sectional area by a method wherein a metal conductor plate having a prescribed thickness is bonded on both surfaces of an insulating substrate consisting of a material, which is not etched, and this plate is etched. CONSTITUTION:A sheetlike coil 10 is one made by forming each spiral conductor pattern 14 on both surfaces of an insulating substrate 12. First, a thermosetting bonding agent is applied all over both of the surface and rear of the substrate 12, a copper plate 16 is arranged thereon, is heated and is bonded to the substrate 12. Then, a resist (not shown in the diagram) is applied on the surface of the plate 16 and a spiral coil pattern is exposed. Pattern grooves 18 are formed by an etching work, whereby the coil 10 having the spiral patterns 14 is obtained. As the grooves 18 are formed in the coil 10 by the etching work, the patterns 14 can be formed into an arbitrary form. Moreover, as the patterns 14 are respectively formed on both of the surface and rear of the substrate 12, the productivity of the coil 10 is remarkably improved compared to a conventional method. |
