High density particulate slurries are made containing in excess of 23 pounds of particulate per gallon (2750 kg/m<3>) by mixing continuously streams of fluid viscosified with a polysaccharide, the particulate material, a suface active agent and a hardenable polyepoxide resin (in admixture with reactive and non-reactive diluents). These and similar slurries can be introduced into a subterranean formation for well completion. A viscosified pad fluid is introduced into a wellbore to create a filter cakle in a desired zone within a subterranean formation, and the high density slurry then is introduced to substantially fill any annular space present without significant settling. This permits the coating of the entire exterior surface of highly deviated casing exposed within a wellbore.
