69727-11 There is described a structure and method for its manufacture which structure is based on a multi-ply fabric having filling threads extending between the plies thereof, wherein the multi-ply fabric is composed of an industrial yarn such as aramide fiber, carbon fiber, ceramic fiber or fiberglass and wherein the filling thread, incorporated in the form of weft thread, is a polypropylene or polyamide thread group and the multi-ply fabric is impregnated and the resin therein cured. The filling thread may also be a carbon fiber thread group. In the method, a resinimpregnated multi-ply fabric is placed in a mold for pressing it and for curing, and in order to ensure different thickness of the molding, shims are placed in the mold. |
