OPTICAL DISK AND METHOD FOR RECORDING OPTICAL INFORMATION

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a rewritable compact disk enabling pulse width modulation recording at such a low linear velocity as 1.2-1.4m/sec by using a rewritable phase transmission optical disk. CONSTITUTION:A limited Ge-Sb-Te ternary compsn. and 10-35 nm thickness are rendered to a recording film 3 and the compsns. and thicknesses of a dielectric film 4 and a reflecting film 5 are limited. A signal is recorded by forming one recording mark by irradiation with plural lines of short pulses. Reduction of jitter of a reproduced signal, high shelf stability of a recorded signal and high recording sensitivity can be simultaneously attained.
