PURPOSE:To clean without the judgment of an user and to always keep a printing state excellent by setting an optimum cleaning period inside a printer with a cleaning period setting means. CONSTITUTION:When the constant number of sheets is outputted with a display part 4 and the cleaning display means A of a buzzer 5, a display accelerating the cleaning is outputted. On each of the printed sheet ejecting means B and cleaning period setting means C of a CPU 2, the sheets on which a pattern for cleaning a transfer guide is printed is ejected by the former, and the optimum cleaning period is set in the printer by the latter. Thus, this image forming device which can carry out the cleaning without having the judgment of the user, and can always keep the printing state excellent, is obtained. |
