摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the accelerations in two orthogonally intersecting axes with one sensor by vibrating a base in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of a piezoelectric ceramic ring, and detecting the acceleration based on the differential voltage generated across facing output electrodes. CONSTITUTION:An inner surface 1a of a piezoelectric ceramic ring 1 is polarized into an outer surface 1b. Divided electrodes 21-24 are formed at the four divided positions of one edge of the ring 1, and the output electrodes are obtained. A full- surface electrode is formed on the other edge, and the grounding electrode is obtained and fixed to a base 3. When the base 3 is vibrated in the direction perpendicular to the central axis of the ring 1, acceleration can be detected based on the differential voltage between the voltages generated across the mutually facing output electrodes. For example, when the acceleration is applied in the direction connecting the centers of the electrodes 22 and 24, the differential voltage between the electrodes 21 and 23 becomes O. The differential voltage between the electrodes 22 and 24 is approximately proportional to the magnitude of the acceleration. When the acceleration is applied in the direction connecting the centers of the electrodes 21 and 23 by the same way, the differential voltage between two electrodes is approximately proportional to the magnitude of the applied acceleration.
