<p>PURPOSE:To optically realize the data bus connected between parallel processors. CONSTITUTION:On a glass plate having an optical multiplexing means 4 of a hologram, etc., a light source 2 for making light incident, an optical system 5 for making light emitted from the light source incident on the glass plate, a photodetector 5 for photodetecting the light emitted from the glass plate, and an electronic circuit 7 are placed adjacently. The light emitted from the light source is made incident on the inside of the glass plate by the optical multiplexing means. The light which is made incident at a larger angle than a critical angle of the glass plate is totally reflected and confined in the inside, emitted to the outside of the glass plate again in the part of the optical multiplexing means, and made incident on the photodetector. When the optical multiplexing means is formed in a two-dimensional shape, light can be emitted and made incident freely from these parts. Also, by superposing lamellately the glass plate, buses of the same number as the glass plates are formed consequently, and an access to a desired bus can be executed. Accordingly, the glass plate, and the optical multiplexing means work as a bus and an interface, respectively.</p> |
