PURPOSE:To improve the flexibility, building blockage and reliability of a multiprocessor system switching process, by dividing functions and by giving intelligence by providing a processor dedicated to trunk control. CONSTITUTION:New independent trunk processors 31-3m are provided with highly real-time functions of circuit monitoring, trunk control, signal transmission, etc., to exercise self-control. On the other hand, processors 41-4n for switching connection control, such as outgoing route determination and switching resource control, are separately installed, and both processor groups are coupled via inter-processor communication device 50 to enable communication between random processors and direct control over calling control by processors 41-4n for switching connection control. In addition, channel devices 11-1l and trunk processors 31-3m are constituted without corresponding to each other and freely connected together via trunk calbes so as to improve the independency and separation between the trunk control and channel control, and using processors improves the intelligence of the trunk control. |
