PURPOSE:To improve the photosettability of a photosetting resin for fixing optical fibers in the ferrule of an optical connector by using a specified cylindrical member. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary optical fiber 2 is fixed on the central axis of a cylindrical member 1. This member 1 whose periphery is concentric with the core of the.fiber 2 is formed with a material capable of transmitting luminous flux 8 of light for photosetting a photosetting resin 5, openings 1a, 1b are pierced in the central part of the member 1 in the longitudinal direction and an adjusting agent 4 having a refractive index nearly equal to that of the core of the fiber 2 is injected into the opening 1a. Since the pencils 8 of light for photosetting the resin 5 is diffused in the entire inside of the member 1, the resin 5 can surely be photoset in a short time. |
