PURPOSE:To improve the convenience by providing the magnetic stripe read/ write part with two magnetic heads to face each other and performing the reading/writing of the magnetic stripe even when the bank card is inserted in the contrary direction of its front and rear. CONSTITUTION:In the bank card reader and writer, a sunction mouth, a bank card sunction part 7, card carrier parts 8, 9 and magnetic heads 3, 4 arranged opposite to each other are provided. The sunction and carrier of a bank card 1 are performed with a card carrier motor 5 and a card read/write motor 6. When the bank card 1 is inserted from the direction of (a), the read/write can be made by the magnetic head 3 because the position of a magnetic stripe 2 in the bank card 1 is opposing to the position of the magnetic head 3. When the bank card 1 is inserted from the direction of (b), the read/write can be made by magnetic head 4 because the position of the magnetic stripe 2 is opposing to the position of the magnetic head 4. |
