PURPOSE:To obtain the same retrieval result irrespective of a designated format by executing a display processing by a format of input sentence data even when the input sentence data is expressed by small letters. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with an input analyzing part 1 for analyzing inputted sentence data and discriminating a word for generating an index and a word for not generating it and editing it, and an index extracting part 2 for extracting the index from this edited data and converting it to capital letters. In the input data analyzing part 1, an identifier is given to the word for generating the index with respect to the inputted sentence and it is outputted as data after editing. With respect to this edited data, the index extracting part 2 executes a capital letter conversion processing to the word to which the identifier is given, and outputs it as the index after conversion. |
