PURPOSE:To provide an ink feed amount control device to control set density of a printed matter without a skill and shorten a time during a time between the starting of printing and stability, in an ink feeding device for an offset printer. CONSTITUTION:An ink feed amount control device comprises a means to measure an ink film thickness in the direction of width on an ink roller before the starting of printing, a means to compare and compute a target ink film thickness and an ink film thickness in the direction of width on an ink roller, a means to control an ink feed amount in the direction of width based on the comparing and computing result so that an ink film thickness in the direction of the width of the ink roller is adjusted to an average value equal to a target ink film thickness, a means to start printing operation when an ink film thickness in the direction of width is adjusted to a target ink film thickness, and a means to control an ink feed amount in the direction of width so that an ink film thickness in the direction of width coincides with a target ink film thickness in a similar manner described above even after the starting of printing. |
