PURPOSE:To improve accelerability and engine brake performance by generating differential limiting force conformed to a torque variation attendant upon the speed change. CONSTITUTION:A car differential limiter is provided with a differential limiting means 16 limiting a differential motion between at least two wheels, a detecting means 1C detecting a shift position GP in a transmission 1B, and a control means 18 changing and controlling the extent of differential limiting force by the said differential limiting means 16 according to a variation in the shift position GP detected by this detecting means 1C.
