PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device, with which a product containing starch is processed by water and heat, for reducing the consumption of energy, unnecessitating the usage of a pressure cooker and providing a high-quality product. CONSTITUTION: In order to produce preprocessed rice or any similar product containing starch, the rice is humidified in a preheater 1 and heated to the boiling temperature later. Then, the rice is kept at the boiling temperature in a warmth retaining container 9 until a cooking process is finished. The rice is dried in a dryer 12 and cooled as needed. |
