摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide a ballast of a high-efficiency electrodeless HID lamp having an simplified impedance matching and a resonance synchronization network having a serial capacitor and a parallel capacitor connected to an energizing coil and sharing a common capacitor plate. CONSTITUTION: A ballast for an electrodeless, high-precision discharge lamp has a D-class power amplifier provided with an integrated tuning capacitor network and a heat sink. A serial inhibiting/tuning capacitor Cs and a parallel tuning capacitor Cp are integrated by sharing a common capacitor plate 30. Metal plates 30 and 36 of the parallel tuning capacitor Cp constitutes a heat sink face for removing excess heat from a lamp oscillating coil 16. These faces are mounted on a plate for the parallel capacitor Cp of a heat sink fin 40. Efficiency is maximized by matching with an impedance of a load network of the ballast.</p>
