PURPOSE:To improve various characteristics of a power cable and its connecting part at high temperatures. CONSTITUTION:At least one layer selected from the group of an inner semiconductive layer 12, an insulator layer 13, and an external semiconductive layer 14 if necessary, is formed with an olefinic resin, an organic peroxide, and cross-linked body of a resin compound including 2, 4-biphenyl-4-methyl-1- pentene. Since 2,4-diphenyl-4-methyl-1-pentene is mixed together with an organic peroxide, 'burning' due to the organic peroxide used, can be restrained. Consequently an olefinic resin having high melting point can be used as a base resin, concurrently the degree of cross-linking in a cross-linked body can be increased. |
