PURPOSE:To enhance contrast and to obtain high density and high quality images over a long period of time by incorporating a binder resin and a colorant and rendering 3-20mum average particle size and >=40% shape factor. CONSTITUTION:The average particle size of a toner contg. at least a binder resin and a colorant is regulated to 3-20mum and the shape factor to >=40%. In case of <3mum or >20mum average particle size of the toner 60, it becomes difficult to prevent fine powdering on a developing roll 20 or to attain stable laminating in two or more layers. In case of >=40% shape factor, the movement of the toner 60 on the roll 20 against micro-fields is made smooth, uniform and stable laminating on the roll 20 is enabled and the transfer of the toner 60 from the roll 20 to a photosensitive body is facilitated. High density and high quality images can be obtd. over a long period of time. |
