<p>PURPOSE: To improve a muffler for a control valve which controls steam to a high pressure turbine for a thermal or a nuclear power plant. CONSTITUTION: In a muffler 300 which is provided with a cylindrical wall 110 with a plurality of substantially circular through apertures 113 spaced substantially equilaterally from one another within a portion of the wall, the apertures 113 are disposed in a repetitive helical pattern of a substantially equilateral triangle for maintaining consistent coupling widths in all directions for providing uniform structural strength to this control valve.</p> |
