Installation device for compact equipment

An installation device for compact equipment which is used for the permanent installation of radio or telephone equipment for use in a vehicle in a specific installation location in a car. The installation device has a locking knob which projects on the underside of one end of the compact equipment, a pivotable retaining plate with a circular slot of varying width and an installation base with a pivoting lever which pivots integrally with the retaining plate. When the lever is turned and the locking knob is inserted in the wide slit section of the circular slit in the retaining plate the knob is moved from the wide slit section into the narrow slit section, whereby secure and simple installation of the electronic equipment on the installation base is achieved in just one operation.
