Steering mechanism for vehicles primarily intended for trucks and comprising a steering wheel (1) rotatably journalled in a gear housing (3). The gear housing is attached to the truck body by means of a telescopically extendible arm bracket (6) which is provided with lockable ball couplings (5, 7) at both ends. The arm bracket comprises an operating shaft consisting of a splines sleeve (23) and a splines shaft (22) axially displaceable therein. The design makes it possible to adjust the steering wheel position in a simple and fast manner for adaptation to different drivers. <IMAGE> |
