PURPOSE:To provide an method of producing a liquid charged cylindrical vibration damper bushing which has an excellent durability. CONSTITUTION:An elliptic cylindrical inter ring 2 is jointed thereto with a vibration damper rubber member 3 extending ion its major axis direction thereof. Further, wall parts 31 for defining closed liquid chambers are formed, extending from the rubber member 3 in the minor axis direction. When the inner ring 2 deformed into a circular shape is press-fitted in an outer cylinder so that the vibration damper rubber is compressed and deformed, and accordingly, the tensile stress of the rubber member 3 which has given during molding thereof is converted into a compression stress. Simultaneously, a tensile stress is effected in the wall parts 31 extending in the minor axis direction, but if an inner cylinder 4 is moved upward by application of a static load thereto, the above-mentioned force canceled thereby. Thus, the stress of the vibration damper rubber member 3 is turned into a compression, and the stress of the wall parts 31 are eliminated, thereby it is possible to exhibit an excellent durability. |
