摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer sheet imparting a sharp image with a sufficient density in a thermal transfer method using a sublimable dye and exhibiting the superior various types of fastness, esp. superior shelf stability, of the recorded image. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet which consists of a substrate sheet and a dye holding layer formed on one surface of the substrate sheet and contains a dye shown by a general formula I in said dye holding layer.
