摘要 |
PURPOSE: To obtain a recording material wherein microcrystal structure of naphthoquinonimine dye in a recording layer is destroyed through irradiation with a beam to cause optically detectable color shift in a recording layer. CONSTITUTION: A naphthoquin dye is produced from oxidized p- phenylenediamine, e.g. 2-amino-5-diethylaminotoluene hydrochloride, and 1- hydroxy-2-N(thiazol-2-yl)naphthamide coupler. A recording layer is formed by coating a support or a reflective substrate transparent to the light being used for reading laser beam writing information with a polymer acting as a binder from a solvent containing no organic water and a solution of naphthoquinonimine dye. Particle size of the dye is 0.01-0.1 μ. A polyethylene terephthalate ribbon support 1 is vacuum coated with a reflective metal layer 2 which is then coated the recording layer 3. The recording layer is then dried and applied with a protective layer 4. |
