<p>PURPOSE:To provide a new keto-acid amide derivative having enzyme inhibiting activity such as prolyl endopeptidase inhibiting activity. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I [X is peptide residue or amino acid residue having (protected) functional group, H or amino-protecting group; Y is peptide residue or amino acid residue having (protected) functional group; E is OH, halogen, lower alkoxy or H; A is carbonyl or mono- or disubstituted methylene (substituent is OH, lower alkoxy, phenylimino or benzylimino); n is 2-6] or its salt, e.g. [2-hydroxy-2-(N-t-butyloxycarbonylpyrrolidin-2-yl)acetyl]-D- leucyl-valine benzyl ester. The compound can be produced e.g. from the compound of formula II by a conventional method used in the field of peptide chemistry.</p> |
